Many Rooms has won the Maribyrnong Leader Local Grant 2018!
We would like to thank Judith Pallesen who lead the initiative and application. This would not have been possible without her hard work, dedication and love for the community. Thank you to all who voted for our application—we greatly appreciate your constant support!
Many Rooms will receive $1000 that will go towards making ‘Hospital Helper’ care packs a reality as it covers the cost of purchasing and delivering items, storage and expanding the project to other hospitals and healthcare agencies in the area.

The ‘Hospital Helper’ is a pack of basic hygiene items for disadvantaged patients who present at Footscray Hospital Emergency, are admitted for a longer stay, and do not have any provisions with them. These patients are typically homeless, in financial difficulty, or without the support of family and friends. The ‘Hospital Helper’ contains basic hygiene items that the hospital does not supply, as well as some items of comfort like sleep masks or scented hand cream and soap.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone who was involved! We are excited for this new opportunity to love and support the disadvantaged in our community.
